For this assessment, identify an ethical dilemma related to your own career interests. This should be a situation you have personally experienced or have witnessed first-hand. Apply the Procedural Process and the Triple Play Approach to Solving Ethical Dilemmas to your ethical dilemma and make the best possible decision to resolve it.
Create a PowerPoint presentation aimed at a specific audience. This should be clearly adapted for your identified target audience. Include a discussion of the situation/issue, dilemma, and your final decision, based on your application of the Procedural Process and the Triple Play Approach to Solving Ethical Dilemmas. Explain which decision-making method you found best addressed your ethical dilemma and explain the reasons behind your conclusion, including how either Mills, Kant, or Aristotle influenced your thinking.
Your presentation should include the following:
- Title Slide
- Introduction: State the ethical issue you identified, the audience your presentation is aimed at, and your decision on how to resolve it. (2 slides)
- Application and analysis of the Procedural Process to assist with the decision. (7 slides)
- Application and analysis of the Triple Play Approach to Solving Ethical Dilemmas. (5 slides)
- Conclusion (4 Slides)
- What is your final decision?
- Does your final decision differ from the decision that was made when the dilemma occurred? Refer to Kohlberg’s Moral Stages of Development in Decision-Making (linked above). Does your final decision reflect a change in your “Moral Stage of Development”? Explain.
- What are the implications and/or lessons learned that are applicable to your audience?
- Explain which decision-making method you found best addressed your ethical dilemma and explain the reasons behind your conclusion, including how either Mills, Kant, or Aristotle influenced your thinking.
