Imagine that Geert Hofstede, Deborah Tannen, Herbert Paul Grice and Robin Lakoff were invited to AUK to discuss instances of cultural noise causing misunderstandings in cross cultural communication as presented in the movie “Outsourced”. Watch the move and select at least three different scenes to discuss with our four guest speakers and write the conversation.
Each guest will provide the theoretical framework, examples and analysis while you should respond by comparing this to your own culture i.e. whether this is common in your culture or not and the reasons why. You may also refer to Trawalter et al.’s (2009) stress-and-coping framework in your discussion.
There is no right or wrong way of doing this, but you should use the different models developed by the four guests to examine cross cultural communication from different perspectives.
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Your paper should be at least 2000 words in length.
2. Although your submission should take the form of a dialogue between you and the guest speakers, you should follow MLA guidelines in formatting your paper and your works cited page.
3. The paper should be presented in a dialogue style.
