You operate an evidence-based approach to your practice; using the latest research findings to inform and enhance the practical support and guidance you offer organisations. Coming very much from a psychological perspective, you and your consultancy have gained a strong reputation for ethical practice and specialist knowledge in the areas of employee engagement, motivation and voice.
You have been approached by the Global HR Director of a multi-national organisation which operates in the US, UK, Eastern Europe, and China. Currently they have several employee relations issues that have arisen and require expert assistance in helping them understand the employee relations literature and provide guidance on how to address employee relations issues. You are asked to:

Current understanding of an employee relations issue (maximum 4000 words)
Produce a written report, which summarises current thinking relating to ONE employee relations issue in the workplace from a psychological perspective. You should focus on only ONE of the following:
- Employee motivation
- Employee engagement
- Employee conflict
Your report should be written in an academic style conforming to APA style in terms of citations in the text and the reference section. Within the report you should summarises the relevant literature within your chosen ER issue, critically evaluate the evidence-base within your topic area and identify gaps where further research is required.
