Sample letter 1.

1. I, …………….., request to be selected for the AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program (AECP). I wholeheartedly am prepared to train and become a part of the team that provides a unique set of clinical and management skills within MEDCOM. Furthermore, to become a value-added member of the Army Nurse CORPS. Nursing, to me, has always been the embodiment of dignity, integrity, and empathy. The application of knowledge learned in both the didactic and practical world has an immeasurable impact on others that I myself have witnessed during my time in the Army.

2. Loyalty, Selfless Service and Integrity are the values which are at my moral center. Loyalty, above all else, is accountability to oneself and to those with whom you have personal interactions with on a daily basis. Without loyalty, there can be no other values. Selfless Service embodies the Profession of Medicine as a whole. Selfless patient care is priority one, beyond the needs, wants and desires of the health care provider. Finally, integrity. Knowing that that the healthcare team shares a moral code of doing the right thig by the patients lends credit to Army Medicine and the Medical Community at large.

3. Serving as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Army has been one of the most fulfilling opportunities I have had in my lifetime. Knowing that my skill set has had a positive impact on the Army community and on the mission fuels my passion to excel in the Nursing field. At the center of Health Care Provider, is care. I stand ready to provide that care to the sick, wounded, newly born and life worn.
