On video “How to en an interview” Stagg talks about tips on closing or ending an interview the proper way. It is common the people interviewing want to get out a soon as possible and forget to ask specific questions that pertain the desired job. Asking intelligent questions is a good idea. Some question examples are maybe something related to company progression or possibly specific training offered. Always reinstate your commitment and interest in the job. Lastly, ask if there are any questions you answered that need further explanation or clarity on any other aspects. Summarize the interview in a few words and thank the interview panel for their time.
During the video Stagg gives very useful tips and procedures to properly end and summarize an interview. It is talked about that after you leave the room their shouldn’t be a doubt on the interviewer’s side. It is our job as interviewees to clarify any uncertainty that is left behind or any point that needs further explanation. This aspect is called the clarity stage and comes to the equation when the interviewers ask if there are any questions you have for them. Another point to keep in mind is that you should always ask questions at the end of an interview. Asking questions shows interest and thought given to the challenges to come. It is always a good idea to ask for further plans that the company has, or maybe if there is any special training that is needed to take on a certain job. The next step is the closing stage. This is where you ask what is the next step on the process. You can ask when a decision would be made about the job. Doing so would help you know where you stand, it would tell you if you should be expecting a call and when roughly. a common mistake interviewers make is walking away not knowing what the next stage is because they were too nervous or shy to ask such questions. Lastly, always continue your job search. Do not wait for just the one job you applied for, you never know what else may come up while you are in the hiring process
