Students will research and write a scholarly paper on an upcoming trend in healthcare relevant to nurse anesthesia practice. This topic could range from a new anesthetic development to a trend seen in public health. APA 7th edition formatting is required, and the paper should be limited to four pages of content (not including title page and reference page). Avoid writing in passive voice!
Some options for topics:
-Cricoid pressure and if it really works and is useful for RSI
-Suggamadex and if it should change the way we do RSI by using Rocuronium instead of Succynlcholine
-Reversal and how it might be better to do suggamadex over neostigmine and glyco for ponv.
-FFP for angio edema
-Using more blocks in practice because it controls pain so well (specifically exparel for post-op)
-Offirmev Vs PO Tylenol and if it’s actually that much better or just not worth the expense.
