- They noted statistics such as when the break up occurred and monitored users posts for two weeks before a “break-up” post and two weeks after.
- They charted activity by the user on line, such as their participation in online invites.
- They noted language usage in men’s post versus women’s post. i.e. “healing”, “binge watching”
“suffering”, etc.
- InstaBook tracked when a user marked themselves single after a break-up.
- The blog further encouraged marketers to target these users with “new experiences”. Specifically, “Tracking signals of intent to travel, experience new things or take up a new hobby can help you reach this group with a relevant ad at the right time.”
