CLINICAL SPECIALTY: CARDIAC CARE/CHF/COPD
Your journal entry must demonstrate how you are advancing your knowledge in the clinical specialty, and your new knowledge must be related directly to clinical reasoning within the QSEN Competencies.
Journal Entry 1 (450–500 words):
Describe a selected, observed activity or situation from your practicum setting (Note: This should not be more than half a page).
Explain what you observed in the context of advanced practice care delivery and clinical reasoning. Provide examples.
Select two examples of advanced critical thinking and clinical reasoning observed in your practicum experience. Describe how each of these examples is grounded in one of the 3Ps (physical assessment, pathophysiology, pharmacology).
Then, justify or negate its evidence base using authentic observations from your practicum, and use the Learning Resources and/or the best available evidence from current literature to support your justification.
Include APA-style citations and references.
