It should be 8 pages in length, typed, double-spaced, in 12 point font, with 1-inch margins. No title page or header is needed. APA Style is not required, though papers will be evaluated for writing quality (grammar, spelling, organization, punctuation, etc.
The paper will require you yo analyze your own personality traits. This means – in roughly two pages – describing yourself in terms of the most important traits that capture you as a person. Give examples that illustrate these traits and any background that you think is helpful. This is not meant to be confessional, but you should describe yourself in detail.
The remainder of the paper will be an analysis of those personality traits using three of the big theoretical perspectives we cover in class this semester: Freudian, Neo-Freudian, Trait, Biological, Humanistic, Behavioral/Social Learning, and Cognitive. The three you choose should be given roughly the same amount of attention. They will be graded based on your correct use of the concepts and terms as well as their application in your personality self-analysis. This does not mean that you agree with these characterizations. As a matter of fact, you may feel free to argue for or against those interpretations, so long as you are correctly using their theoretical views and research findings in self-description.
Finally, you should end with a final paragraph that finishes your paper and reaches a conclusion. This can be a brief recap or a statement of which approach you feel best captures you.
