Extra Credit Opportunity (10 points)
In class, you briefly learned about dream interpretation. You learned about the differences between manifest content and latent content. For this extra credit opportunity, you will apply these principles to your own dreams. For this opportunity, I am asking you to record your dreams over a week-long period. I then want you to thoroughly analyze two of these dreams. A thorough dream analysis consists of noting both the manifest and the latent content of your dream. For the paper, first note the manifest content of the dream—be as detailed as possible. Next, you are to interpret the dream via latent content. For this section, take your time dissecting your dream and really make a concerted effort noting possible symbolism (i.e., make a strong attempt at trying to understand what your dream meant and what your dream might be telling you). Your paper should be at least 3-5 double-spaced pages.
