Discussion Assignment Instructions
The student will complete 1 Discussion in this course. The student will post one thread of at least 400 words For Module 8. For each thread, students must support their assertions with at least 2 paraphrased textbook citations in current APA format Demonstrate evidence of thinking biblically by providing at least one relevant application of scripture in the Discussion Assignment.
Dobson (2007) in Love Must Be Tough: New Hope for Marriages in Crisis addresses the idea of entrapment in marriage. Dobson also considers the roles of a victim begging for mercy and a “cool lover” in the dynamic of panic and appeasement in the marriage relationship. Explain the consequences of panic and appeasement on a romantic relationship, ways to reverse the damage of panic and appeasement on a marriage, and a situation you have either seen or experienced relating to the panic and appeasement dynamic. Provide a Bible verse that can encourage people in a marriage who have experienced panic and appeasement or another similar dynamic in this week’s reading.
