PM-511-Module 9 Discussion
Mark Resch discusses quality improvement. He explains the Deming cycle of Plan-Do-Check-Act. Six Sigma advocates tweaked this into their process improvement footprint of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. In simplest terms, this means: figure out what the problem is; gather some data about the problem; figure out what the data is revealing; decide how to fix or improve the process; and finally, keep it fixed. Think about a process you are familiar with and discuss how each of these steps could be used to improve your process.
