“CURRENT INDUSTRY PERFORMANCE AND MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES”
For me this can include both business management and technical management processes
To go back to the SHU documentation
“You will write an engineering management paper, typically discussing your existing experience, new techniques learnt, appraisal of application to the rail industry, performance management including working arrangements, and potential recommendations for improvement in working practices. It will contain four subsections:
- Project Management
- Health and Safety
- Asset Stewardship including obsolescence and new technology
- Performance Management”
You might- but not necessarily include issues such as:
Objective setting/Business objectives/Performance review objective setting in Line with Business objectives
Business case and management; stakeholder risk identification and management.
Systems and interface management.
Data collection and handling.
Data driven decision making.
Solution resolution.
Managing technology
Managing overall business competency through training, mentoring etc
Elements of GRIP for managing Project Performance
Design for reliability
Reducing delay minutes, 300+ etc
NOTE THERE MAY BE AN OVERLAP BETWEEN PERFORMACE MANAGEMENT AND ASSET STEWARDSHIP WHICH IS NOT A PROBLEM.
NOTE IT IS YOUR VIEWS/IDEAS/REFLECTIONS ON HOW YOU WOULD MANAGE THE BUSINESS WHAT YOU LIKE/DO NOT AGREE WITH/THAT WHICH YOU MIGHT CHANGE, BUT PLEASE BASE YOUR OPINIONS, WHERE YOU CAN, ON EXPERIENCE, OBSERVATIONS AND FACTS
