Task: This assignment will assess your analysis of the intelligence collection in support of the operations process. For your post in a discussion thread, clearly and concisely state which of the four, G2-proposed, enemy courses of action (COA) that you assess as the most likely. Justify your position based on the available reports from all source intelligence. As needed, provide your own assessment of the various reports. Clearly outline any gaps in intelligence that may alter your decision and what additional reconnaissance assets need to be employed to reduce these gaps. Justify your position by addressing counter-points and/or provide an explanation why the other COAs are not likely. This is an individual, open-book/open notes assignment.
1. Review the four potential enemy course of action (COA) in this Enemy_COA_Sketches.pdf . Focus on the key indicators within each COA that allow you to predict the enemy’s actions.
2. Evaluate the 39 scenario events in the Collection_Reports_Analysis_Worksheets_AY22 . In this document, you will also find instructions on how to view these reports alternatively on this interactive Google map product (NOTE: this may not work on your NIPR-network device pending local controls). These events replicate unit intelligence reports; you will be performing the staff function of assessing reports. Determine what, if anything, these events indicate about enemy activity.
3. After reviewing the four enemy COAs and 39 information collection events, state and justify the most likely enemy COA in the discussion thread.
Conditions: Given the M331 DOCUMENTS and READINGS.
Standards: Write an initial post and then respond to at least two peers about their selection of COAs that meets the following rubric standards: 1009W_AY22 .
