This assignment is a Research Assignment. You must research academic journals, think tank publications, findlaw.com, articles from major newspapers and other reputable sources.
Search the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and the Washington Post for all news articles and op-eds on state statutes (or city ordinances) passed in the last two years to regulate the use of face recognition technology. Go to the website of the state(s)/cities that have passed statutes, pull the statute, compare and summarize them. Look for any academic or technical scientific journal articles on face recognition technology and incorporate into your analysis. Finally, do a proposed statute that should be passed by the Texas Legislature in 2021.
WHAT YOUR RESEARCH PAPER SHOULD DEMONSTRATE
Along with substantive analysis your papers should reflect what you believe I need to know based on your comprehensive research and analysis of what you read including opposing points of view. All assignments must be properly sourced and require research beyond the required and recommended readings.
