“Shared Value” is a concept introduced by Harvard Business professors and management gurus Michael Porter and Mark Kramer in their 2006 HBR article “Strategy and Society: The Link Between Competitive Advantage and Corporate Social Responsibility”. They then followed up with another HBR article “Creating Shared Value” in 2011. In the linked video below, Michael Porter addresses the Shared Value Summit in November 2019 and provides updated examples and ideas to his and Kramer’s original articles. His remarks begin at around 2 minutes and end at around 35 minutes.
