Increasing the Amount of Handicap Parking Space at Christ Community Health Center
The Research Proposal Memo

Subject: The need to increase the handicap parking space at Christ Community Health Center
Parking is an essential component of transportation, and if the space set for parking services is not accommodating, this may lead to outcomes that will affect the businesses and the people accessing certain type of business facilities. Effectively management of car parking in the healthcare centers is an ongoing activity, especially for healthcare centers that receive a large number of patients on a daily basis. Consequentially, in some healthcare centers, the parking area experiences countless predicaments due to an ever-increasing demand for space. The purpose of this study will involve showing the Christ Community Health Center why it is important for them to increase the amount of accessible parking space, as the current space have impacts on the clients visiting the healthcare center for medical services (Christ Community Health Service, 2017). Thus, the researcher will recommend the best practice strategies that the healthcare center need to use to increase the parking space for the benefit of the healthcare organization and their customers.
The Proposed Program and Justification
Hospitals outpatients’ facilities require at least 10% of patients or visitor space to be accessible (ADA National Network, 2017). For medical care facilities that treat mobility-related conditions and patients with the need of physical therapy services, the location space should at least have 20% of parking space, which is accessible by different patients (ADA National Network, 2017). The parking space should as be set for the healthcare employees and the space should range up to 50% of the total parking space (ADA National Network, 2017). This means that healthcare centers require a lot of space for parking and a space that will be accessed by the employees, outpatients, and patients who require emergency attendance treatment. Therefore, in this research, it is proposed that for the Christ Community Health Center to meet its goal; parking space should be increased in particular the one for outpatients. This research will propose the creation of a mobility parking space at the Christ Community Health Center, as this type of space will be located near most at the entrances to the healthcare center. The program will make the healthcare center effective and a center that does not have parking space demand problem for the patients and employees.
Task Included
The tasks that will be included in this research will be used to communicate the research through presentation to the Christ Community Healthcare Center. According to McClean (2012), it is important for researchers to incorporate tasks such as research methodology, literature framework, and a conceptual analysis that will proceed the review, as these tasks will mark a detailed work based on evidence and supported by facts. For this research to be completed within a given timeframe, the researcher will use a timetable as a figure that will give the direction of the research and the time that each task will take place.

Qualification and Experience
For any research work, researchers can be a problem to the study. Therefore, it is significant for one to scope up things so that the researcher does not influence the outcomes of the research (Showman et al., 2013). Thus, for this study, I think that I am qualified enough to carry out this research as I have the necessary skills and experience regarding the topic of this study. Some of the skills that make me the qualified researcher for this topic include creativity skills, judgment skills, the skills to gain the knowledge from other researchers, communication, and writing skills. All of these skills are equally important, and they encompass every stage of this research as well as the key to the foundation of every entry that will be made in this survey.
Significance
This study is intended to help the Christ Community Health Center, the employees working at the care center, and the patient who visitor the healthcare center for care services. The research will make the healthcare center see the need to increase the parking space in which the space will be set to help the employees and outpatients deal with parking problems. The patients will benefit mostly, as the parking space will become more accessible, particularly for the day-to-day patient.
Description
To complete this project, the researcher will be using both primary and secondary data. However, secondary data will be used mostly for the literature review section and data analysis. For the literature section, the researcher will use published materials to reflect on the need to increase the parking space in the community healthcare centers, to clarify the research problem, and come up with various variables under this study. Most of the works of literature that the researcher will use for this study include literature from published journals, online articles, books, case studies, and Christ Community Health Center website.
Methodology
Williams (2011) points out that to complete a research, investigators use different research approaches, but in each method, the goal is always set to explore and investigate the different claim and to address a unique form of research question. For this study, the investigator is set to use interview and observation methods to collect the data. In the interview method, the researcher is planning to interview patients who visit the Christ Community Health Center, the employees working in the center, as well as the hospital’s owners. The researcher believes that the participants to be interviewed are knowledgeable about the parking space at the Christ Community Health Center and they hold the opinion that space should be increased. On the case of observation method, the researcher will observe the extent to which the parking space at Christ Community Health Center is a problem and come up with statistical discoveries to be used for this research. The human behavior will play a major role when it comes to the use of observation method. As such, it is through how the people in the Christ Community Health Center behave where the researcher will record data and come up with research analysis with the aim of identifying the answer to the research question.
