The breadth of connections between behavior and health is formidable. Your final assignment focusses on how you will help this person to improve health status by modified his/her dietary intake.

Part I: Identify problem (1-2 pages)

The first step is to identify what kinds of dietary related risk factors are highly correlated to his/her current health issue. Hypothesize a specific dietary behavior modification that can improve and/or delay type II diabetes mellitus progress. Please use the following steps to target a factor for change:

Lastly, you could use a website that end in “.gov” or “.org” which means that is government approved (No “.com”).
  • Using scientific evidence to confirm that the dietary related risk factor you have chosen is the most important behaviors to modify.
  • Use the scientific evidence to support what kind of benefits can result from modifying their behavior and explain how to overcome any barriers.

Part III: Description of solution (2-3 pages)

  • Describe what kind of impact or benefits this will cause to their health and wellbeing.
  • Finally, figure out strategies to improve specific dietary behaviors in his/her life and how they are willing to modify.
  • Choose the most useful strategies to modify existing dietary risk factors and how to overcome barriers (ex. using a cellular phone built in program to monitor their own diet).
  • How can he or she maintain this specific eating behavior long term for healthy wellness?
