Presentation Content Guidelines:
Based upon the quality of the presentations and Q&A to date, the guidelines for Presentation 3 will simulate a more real-world example of how the strategic analysis tools can be applied to identify a company’s problems, and to help to develop possible solutions. The teams will act as a team of consultants to their assigned companies (rather than senior managers):
- Each team will read their assigned case and develop a list of four to five problems (four problems for a team of 4, five problems for a team of 5).
- The team will need to identify which problems are more urgent and why.
- The team will need to justify why they selected those problems (with some evidence, for e.g. loss of market share, reduction in revenue, profitability, shutting down an operations, etc.)
- Each team member will take one problem for analysis using a minimum of three analysis tools covered in Chapters 1-8 (refer to Strategic Analysis Toolkit on Moodle) to analyze the problem and to develop at least two or more solutions for each problem to recommend to the company.
The introduction to each case should open with #1 above rather than providing an overview of the case.
