Pick a committee (the same committee) for the House and then for the Senate.
for example, the House Armed Services Committee and the Senate Armed Services Committee. (note, some committees that perform the same function have different names in the House and Senate. The House Ways and Means Committee relates to the Senate Finance Committee.)
Write a full research & analysis essay using the below format:
1. Using the link above, click on the chosen committees and give background of each committee (leadership, composition, subcommittees, scope, history, etc)
2. Briefly Compare and Contrast the two committees.
3. What are the committees currently working on?
4. Why would a Representative/Senator want to be on this committee? How can they exercise power? What decisions can they influence?
