Instructions:
- Conduct research on the problem-identification process for businesses, as well as other resources that address business performance analysis.
- Following is a list of topics commonly addressed by managers during their store team meetings. For each of the topics listed below, decide what performance indicators must be analyzed in order for a manager to answer the question, \”How is business?\”.
- Sales
- Advertised/promotional events
- P&L results
- Customer Service
- Human Resources
- Company policies, procedures, and strategies
- Explain why the performance indicators you identified in #2 are important to employees at any retail company, regardless of whether they work in a store, in a corporate position, or in some other support function.
- Compare and contrast the performance indicators that would be most relevant to a store manager, as compared to a district supervisor or someone working in customer support.
- Complete your work by summarizing what conclusions can be drawn regarding the use of performance indicators to identify potential problems and opportunities in a business organization.
- Write a four-page paper (minimum) that thoroughly addresses all areas included under Instructions 1 – 5. The minimum length does not include the title page, abstract, reference page, or any additional pages containing charts, appendices, etc. Cite a minimum of two outside sources used in your research to support your work.
