- Title can be anything, but it must reflect what is in the paper
- Don’t be broad, for example, say nurses instead of saying medical professionals, make this paper very niche and about nurses
- No vagueness, if something is mentioned in must be defined and the importance of it must be explained
- The paper should be in the same order as the topics are stated in the thesis
- Summarize how your thinking about nursing has expanded throughout the semester
- How will this gained knowledge affect your future nursing practice? Explain how
- The way the gained knowledge will benefit/effect my future nursing process should be at the end of each paragraph
- Each paragraph should have one main focus
Not every article I have attached for each topic has to be used but try to get at least eight
The ideas below are what I would like to be incorporate in the paper:
Introduction
- State how you used to think about nursing and some nursing topics before vs. now
- Make sure thesis addresses all six different topics that will be mentioned in the body paragraphs

- Morals and values effect patient care
- There may be some rules or policies that differ from your own values
- Following your morals while incorporating a patient’s ideas in not easy
- You will be in some tough situations, but you must remember to do what’s right, regardless of personal bias
Professionalism: Civility in Nursing Practice
- Must not engage in behaviors that make one feel unappreciated, inferior, and ignored (ex. workplace bullying)
- This behavior could make a nurse not speak up because they already feel like they have no support, this could put patients in danger
- Anxiety gained in the workplace would also take the nurse’s attention away from the patient which has negative consequences
Nursing Knowledge: Theoretical vs. Empirical
- Nursing metaparadigm which includes the grand theories and mid-range theories
- Mention how every nursing metaparadigm incorporates person, environment, health, and nursing
Ways of Knowing: Nursing’s Distinct Knowledge
- Know the four patterns of nursing: empirics, esthetics, personal knowledge, and ethics
Personal Knowing
- Emotional Intelligence
- Why reflection during the moment and after are so important to nursing practice
Nurse as Educator – Learning and Knowing
- There are differences between different generations, you can’t talk and explain things to a 20-year-old and a 90-year-old the same way
- Must be aware of a language barrier and get a translator is if necessary
- Must be aware of differences between different cultures, must be willing to be able to make a compromise to a problem that is allowed in the patient’s culture
- Must be aware of our own learning style as a nurse so that we know our stuff, I am a person that must do it to learn it.
Conclusion
- Restate introduction
- Sum up key points, mentioning all six
- How all this knowledge about the nursing profession will shape my future as a nurse

Final Analysis Paper Guidelines
Summarize how your thinking and thinking about nursing has expanded over the semester. Use material from at least six modules. Modules previously used in analysis papers cannot be used again in final paper. Synthesize what you have learned throughout the course about nursing and nursing knowledge, and your beliefs, assumptions, values and relevance and applications to
nursing practice. With your newfound and/or expanded knowledge do you think about any concepts differently; explain why. Will this gained knowledge affect your nursing practice? Explain how. You can illustrate (explain) this with examples from the assigned readings, your nursing practice and/or clinical experiences. Readings must be cited in APA format to substantiate student’s thinking. Paper may be written in first and third person. Do not summarize course content; analyze the reading and what you learned. Paper must be 5-6 pages and typed in Times New Roman 12-point font. Final paper must be submitted to SafeAssign. Read Final Analysis Paper Rubric for further guidelines regarding this assignment. A late paper will not be accepted for grading and will result in zero points. There is no option to make up this assignment.
