Instructions: Identify a nonprofit organization with which you have an interest. obtain information on how that nonprofit is continuing to have an impact in the community amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Your profile of the nonprofit should include the following critical information:

Size and scope
Finances and funding
Impact of COVID-19 pandemic
Leadership and diversity
Compensation of highest paid personnel (www.guidestar.com)
Strategic plan (if applicable)
What do you assess as the strengths and weaknesses of the nonprofit?
What would you change of the nonprofit?
There are two parts to this assignment, but they should be combined into one document for submission. Each section will be peer reviewed as we progress through the course.
Part 1 – Summary of the Organization: Provide a concise summary of the nonprofit organization including the organization’s mission, age and size, programmatic aspects, and population(s) served. Information can be collected via organization’s website, IRS 990, bylaws, and personal interviews. Maximum length: 1 page.
Part 2 – Applying Theory to Practice: Identify one article in an academic journal (Select from Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, Nonprofit Management and Leadership, or Voluntas) or other journals that relates to your observation or knowledge obtained about the your nonprofit. This article may examine, explain, or theorize organizational behavior or interactions between leadership and employees that you observed or solve a problem you assessed. Identify the research question, hypothesis/hypotheses (if present), and method of analysis. Then apply the findings from the article to your nonprofit experience. How do the findings explain your observations? Or how do the findings apply in order to solve the problem you assessed? Maximum Length: 3 pages
