Post your social work abstracts here. Title the post something intriguing.
Here’s what you were asked to do: Locate and carefully review one article from the bibliography that is listed with an *asterisk by the author’s name, meaning it is peer-reviewed article that specifically relates to social work and psychopharmacology. OK, good. After you have made your selection, write a no-longer than one-page (double-spaced) 250 word abstract of the article using the following general format, and do pay close attention to it.
- give the perfect APA citation at the top of the page (do this single-spaced)
- describe in your own words the purpose of the article (this is not an overview, but the reason the author wrote the paper; what mission does the author have in writing the paper?)
- summarize in your own words the author’s one or two (no more!) major arguments, or points, or essential content (this is not a summary)
- synthesize and paraphrase the author’s final conclusions
- briefly state any personal comments you might have regarding the article (impact on you, evaluation of contribution, implications for future)

Post your abstract on the relevant Discussion Board in Canvas. You are then expected to read at least a dozen of your peer’s abstracts, posting comments per the course requirements.
