Learning Project Outline Template
(40 points)
In preparation for the learning project presentation that will be due at the end of Week 6, you will complete an outline as an important first step in the process of creating a solid training plan. First, you will need to develop a learning plan to resolve a performance gap where training is the most appropriate solution or intervention. Use this template to structure and organize your learning project outline (add in sub-sections as needed).
- Identify a performance gap amenable to training or learning.
- Assess the need for training by conducting a needs assessment (Chapter 4 – Task and Person Analysis).
- Define the general learning goal(s) for the training initiative based on the needs assessment.
- Specify the learning objectives for learning project (Chapter 5 – Defining the Objectives of the HRD Intervention).
- Design/select the training methods and media (Chapter 5 – Selecting Training Methods and Media).
- Prepare the learning material (Chapter 5 – Preparing the Training Materials).
- Establish the method(s) of delivery (Chapter 6 – Training Delivery Methods).
- Select and specify a method or methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the training (Chapter 7 – Models and Frameworks of Evaluation).
