Step #3:Write a summary related to Lesson One, Chapter 16 (Part I and II) and \”The Gospel of Wealth.\” Address the points below in your summary:
a) Do you think the progress since the Gilded Age (e.g. technology) has been more beneficial than harmful to society? Or, does the allege improvements and convenience of progress merely created a false sense of security and superiority? Please explain.
b) Have people become more social and benevolent with the rise of technology and progress? Or, did growth of the nation and cities/suburbs as well as technology make it easier for people to remain distant and indifferent? Please explain.
c) What does Carnegie\’s message seem to say? Do you agree or disagree with his ideas? Why or why not? Please explain.
