Assignment: Answer ONE of the following questions in a 4-5-page paper. You must present an original argument with a clear thesis statement that is based in a well-reasoned, well-sourced interpretation of the text. You must cite the assigned readings to substantiate your interpretation at every stage of the argument. None of these questions have a single correct answer, but there are better and worse interpretations and better and worse arguments to substantiate those interpretations.
Formatting: The paper must be 4-5 full pages in length in 12-point, Times New Roman, double spaced font with 1” margins. The paper must use a standard and recognized citation style such as MLA or Chicago Style. Use the assigned publications of the texts. Write your name, the course number, and the number of the question that you select at the top of the first page. Straying from this formatting may lose you points.

2. According to the political philosophies of Plato and Aristotle, should we consider Antigone happy? Why or why not?
3. Is happiness important for considerations of justice? Why or why not? Use Plato’s and Aristotle’s respective political philosophies to answer this question.
