Part 1:
- Read the “Hospital in Transition Case” and supplemental reading material.
- Then, imagine yourself as John Leader, and think about the recommendations for savings proposed by senior management (see page 3 of the case,). Which would you approve of? Why? Would you suggest any alterations to the proposals to achieve the $10 million target?
Part 2:
- You will be assigned TWO (2) recommendations to evaluate (see assignments below- for me recommendation 1 and 4).
- On the day of presentations, you will present your assigned recommendations.
- The presenter can use a maximum of THREE (3) slides per recommendation. We have prepared three questions for each recommendation for you to think about (see questions below.) We suggest you prepare one slide per question.
- The presenter will have a maximum of FIVE (5) minutes to present your evaluation of the recommendation.
- After you presented, the faculty member will have time to offer feedback and ask to follow up on questions related to each member evaluation and the assigned recommendations.

- A faculty member will provide feedback and grade the presentations.
- Grades will be a composite of the content and presentation and will be provided to after the presentations.
