Throughout the entire course, I have grown in many ways both in the academic and extra-curricular domains more than I possibly thought I would. In addition, I have come to familiarize myself with a lot of information on general education as well as personalize most bits of the important lessons learnt. Some of these paramount lessons acquired revolve around various significant issues on the world around me, my own personal issues, the salient art of responsibility towards other human beings and building lasting relationships among others. As such, this essay primarily focuses on these issues stated above, information about the other subjects I need to explore and ultimately, a brief personal statement on things I value, my ambitions and strategies set to oversee the fulfillment of those desires and dreams.
The world around me is a platform harboring all various kinds of matters and affairs. These issues tend to differ amongst societies, religions, families, cultures, regions, countries, states and even other individuals all over the globe. Furthermore, the said issues also range from simple to complex structures from the said institutions. Nevertheless, I have come to learn that we all globally agree on those matters that destabilize our unions, institutions, states and the general world as a whole. These detrimental matters in question include concerns on poverty, corruption, levels of education, poor health care, and cases on pollution, depletion of natural resources, industrialization, tourism, global warming, economic recessions and ethical issues such as sexual and racial discrimination as well as human rights among others. Ideally, all these are crucial and consequential matters of concern across the entire world in the sense that, if not handled with care they always threaten to collapse the nations.
In the same way but in a different measure, I have also attained guidelines on how to create and maintain healthy relationships with other people. Notably, this new information includes relationships amongst my colleagues in class, neighborhood, church and even the social world. This has been extremely essential since it is through healthy relationships that human beings really get to interact and socialize with one another. I have learnt to always speak up instead of holding in issues, respect, and support others during team work and even in my own personal relationships. Hence, this has also help me improve my sense of responsibility to others instead of being self-centered and selfish as before.
Most importantly, I have also come to understand more about my personal stuff and the ways in which I learn. I now have a better personal understanding on matters that seemed intricate and convoluted. Besides, I have mastered my behavior and the various things that trigger my responses. I am now able to control how I react to stimuli whether pleasant or unpleasant. Furthermore, I have also come to understand that I learn well through the administration of both positive and negative reinforcements. Nevertheless, I need to know more about ways to handle people with special needs, as they require specialized care and attention. Moreover, I also need to learn more on the corporate world and the different ways in which to fit in.
I personally value honesty, diligence and hard work in everything that I do ranging from my academics to private matters. This is because the said values make me feel complete and true to myself. As such, I would like to eradicate all the rampant cases of moral decay in the contemporary societies such as corruption, prostitution, child abuse, spousal battery, homicides, treachery, theft and burglary, rape, infidelity and dubiousness among others in order to promote peaceful, genuine, trustworthy and morally upright societies. Hence, I am going to pursue all the relevant studies in order to acquire the required skills to deal with the said issues.
