Though Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is short, it reveals some of the complex perils of human nature and highlights difficulties faced by society in Victorian England. While closely examining the text, posted critical essays, and other critical and credible sources you may wish to use, it will be your job to examine and answer the following:
What does Stevenson’s story reveal about human nature and how does the time period in which it was written influence these ideas?

- A creative title
- An introduction that introduces your topic, briefly summarizing the story and includes an argumentative thesis statement
- Body paragraphs that develop your paper’s thesis through your own analysis and direct quotes from Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and at least two quotes from one or more critical articles (Ones you have found or the ones posted)
- A conclusion that restates your paper’s main point and leaves the reader with something to ponder
- The proper use of MLA formatting for in-text quotations, your Works Cited page, and your paper’s general formatting.
