Discussion Assignment Instructions
After completing the required reading, provide a critical analysis discussion using your own professional work experience and learning from the reading. At the post graduate level you are not to provide a summary but rather provide a critical thinking assessment of the topic.

In this class, you will participate in Discussions based on the specific weekly topics covered in the course textbook chapter required reading in each Module.
You will discuss the topic presented and each weekly discussion on analytics. You may discuss each situation from your own current, professional experience and your own research. Each discussion is completed in 2 parts: an initial thread and 2 replies to classmates’ threads. Below are the general requirements for each forum.
Note: A major theme of these lessons is how the biblical concepts in the weekly biblical textbook or the Bible can provide a solid foundation for leadership in discussion of the weekly forum topic. When you cite them, make sure you build upon that major theme and apply it to the ideas in your posts.
Thread: Read both the required topic textbook chapters, and the biblical integration provided topic for the discussion. Then, provide discussion using your own professional work experience and learning otcomes from the reading.
At the post graduate level you are not to provide a summary. You are required to provide a critical thinking assessment of the topic. You must use at least one (1) Biblical citation and reference, that integrates the topic of the week. One (1) high-quality peer-reviewed journal article citation and reference. One (1) course textbook citation to inform you further on the topic. It’s always best to use your current career experience to provide quality examples that demonstrate how the weekly topic plays out in the real world.
Your initial thread must be 500–750 words (approx. 2–3 pages) with in-text citations and references. Be sure to copy and paste your text into the Discussion.
The following 3 sources must be included in your thread and referenced:
- The course primary topic textbook (One of the course textbooks is acceptable)
- At least 1 peer-reviewed journal article (Published within the past 5 years)
- 1 passage of Scripture (Biblical source must be referenced)
You must cite all sources you used in current APA format.
Replies: Provide 2 thoughtful replies to the threads of classmates. Each reply must include an analysis of your classmates’ threads, based on any experience from your own professional career (if applicable) that might be relevant. All replies must be 250–500 words (approx. 1–2 pages). Also, be sure to integrate the required reading in a logical and relevant manner.
You must cite:
- The textbook(s) (One of course textbooks is acceptable)
- At least 1 peer-reviewed journal article published within the past 5 years or a biblical passage of scripture (Bible source must be referenced).
