I would also like for you to watch the show (DVR it if you can or purchase it on ITunes). Identify and discuss at least 2 major discussion items you learned about from your review of the website and its links and from watching the TV program.

4. Read Christopher Hooks article, Street Fight: Austin’s Legalization of Camping and Sidewalk Sleeping. Texas Monthly, November 2019. This article can be found in the Modules Section of the CPM Track 5 Fall 20 CANVAS Site.
Identify and discuss at least 3 of the major points that the author is making about the homeless situation in Austin. Which of the observations of the author do you agree with or disagree with? Why or why not?
5. Review the Survey Research presentation and the information provided by Sue Breland. Identify and discuss at least 3 of the major points that she made related to Survey Research. This information will be especially useful to you when you start your CPM Track 7 Capstone paper.

6. Briefly describe the backgrounds of Richard Clarke and R.P. Eddy. Why did they write this book? What kinds of information are they trying to convey to the readers and policy makers that read their book? What approach will they use to convey the information? (Chapter 1)
7. According to the authors, why were the warnings of Dr. Van Heerden not heeded? What was his reward for good work and being right? What are some of their major criticisms of the government bureaucracies involved in preparing and reacting to Hurricane Katrina? (Chapter 3)
