Your focus in paper one of your paper is on providing the background to your social issue or practice problem. Your background may have some similarities to your SLR, but it is not the same. Frame the background discussion in the context of your conceptual idea, meaning the scope and breadth of the discussion will be narrower than your SLR. Consider what the reader needs to know and understand about your topic to buy in to your proposed conceptual idea of how to alleviate/mitigate the problem.
For paper one, you are expected to include the bullet points that are highlighted in yellow. The others will be added in paper two. Paper one is focused on exploring the issue central to your conceptual paper, explicating why there is a need to conceptualize the problem the way you are presenting it and exploring what has already been written about this topic. Paper one should be four (4) to six (6) pages in length (not including the title page, abstract, or references).
