Introduction
The political theory is concerned with the different comparative methods used in the corresponding political theory domain. Asian political traditions are associated with Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Confucian, and Taoist worldviews. This makes the administrative domain of Asian interesting since it involves the interrelation between the named traditions. However, the association creates several controversies since different political analysts misinterpret it at some point. Among the ideologies that may differ in concern to Asia politics include issues that originate outside Asia. Such matters include liberalism and nationalism, which are among the most important aspects of interest. The Asia political thought forms an ideal arena for understanding postmodernism and enlightening scholar on the different political perspectives in the world. Some of the concepts associated with the Asia politics are discussed herein.
Danda
Danda is one of the aspects that is associated with the elements of state in Asia. It is a concept derived from the words Dand and Dam. These worlds refer to conquering or restraining a person or a community from a negative response. The purpose of Danda in Asian politics is considered to bring discipline to the human beings. Typically, human beings are thought to be corrupt and evil hence a need for a strategy that will control them from negatively affecting the community (Fred 112). Since the ancient Asian Politics, Danda was used by the King as an instrument of punishing offenders and maintaining peace within the kingdom.
Dharma
This is a term that defines the law. However, it can be considered in two different ways; both as a code of conduct and as a religious connotation. As a religious concept, it asserts that those who use it will find success and happiness. As a moral code of conduct, adhering to the rules ensure prosperity and peace in the community. As per the Asian politics, Dharma ensures the peace in the universe hence every person should adhere to it. In essence, Dharma is a sacred law. Both concepts are of the essence in the Asia politics because they give the basic guidelines that the people should adhere to. Both the king and the citizens have to adhere to these sacred laws; hence, it gives Asia a unique identity that governs the political domain (Fred 111). Going against these statutes is not acceptable to the Asia community.
Artha
Artha is a concept that ensures people live a meaningful life through possessing the basic needs, food, clothing, and shelter. The concept explains that social order is maintained when people pursue their basic needs and materials that comfort them. The ultimate aim of this concept is Moksha (freedom from the life-death cycle). The other aspects maintained by this concept are meant to create a balance in life and satisfaction (Fred 114).
Arthashastra is an Indian treaty on economic policy, military strategy, and economic policy. It is an ancient work prepared by several authors over the centuries. Fred asserts that Artha relates to Arthashastra in that both govern the way of life of the Asia community (101). Both give a concept that maintains a balance in life and regulate the politics. One of the missing concepts in the traditional Hindu thought is giving the ruler an uncentralized social order. The community was divided into social groups each with its Dharma that ruled them (Fred 111). The leader had no authority of interfering with laws of the traditional concepts. Each of the groups was led by their belief hence resulting in the lack of a centralized social order where Shah (ruler) would have an impact on the different policies ruling the community.
