Using information from the Case Study Video and the textbook (required)
Lee Jr., Robert D, Ronald w Johnson, and Philip G. Joyce. 2013. Public Budgeting Systems. Burlington: Jones & Bartlett Learning.
(outside readings – optional), the student should respond to each question relating to the corresponding case study. In approximately 2-3 paragraphs, respond to each question and ensure to substantiate your statements with information from your textbook. All cited material must include both internal citations and a complete reference list at the end of the paper.
FORMATTING:
1) A cover sheet should minimally indicate the Case Study number, the name of the course, the student’s name and the date.
2) Include each question before responding.
2) Double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 font
3) Make sure to add citations and references formatted according to Turabian style writing (examples). (Refer to Ch. 18 and 19 of your Turabian Manual 9th edition for more detailed examples.)
Format your citations and reference according to Turabian style (Author-Date) formatting.
3) LIMIT your use of direct quotes to NO MORE than two short quotes.

Please view the 3-plus minutes of this clip and respond to the following questions:
- Describe the budget “deal” made by members of Congress.
- In the long run, what problems/issues can the deal have on government services and on individual Americans? (hint: one of the issues involves raising the debt ceiling.)
- What will the deal mean in terms of the federal deficit and debt reduction when government agencies/departments enter the “execution phase of the budget” (Ch. 11)?
