COMPANY: WAL-MART
The “strategy implementation” chapter of the case analysis should contain four sections:
First, in a paragraph, describe the kind of organizational structure the company uses. Does the company use an entrepreneurial / functional / geographic / customer / product / multidivisional / matrix / network / cellular structure? Is the structure centralized or decentralized? Describe how this choice of structure does or does not fit the company’s current strategy.
Second, in a paragraph, describe the company’s current leadership and organizational culture. What kind of style are they? What do they emphasize? Describe how the leadership and culture does or does not fit the company’s current strategy.
Third, in a paragraph, discuss how the company’s leadership, culture, and structure fit with the strategies you recommended in the earlier sections. Offer recommendations on what kind of a structures would work best with your suggestions and justify your recommendations.
Fourth, in a paragraph, discuss what kinds of program and procedures the company would need to implement the strategies you recommended in the earlier sections. Briefly describe what would be entailed in each program and procedure.
This chapter should be less than three pages.
