As a means of connecting your study of Business Statistics to your planned professional endeavors and/or discipline of study (Which is business management), you will complete a personal paper of at least four pages that addresses the following:
- Your paper should provide background and discussion of the use of statistics and related analytic tools in the business area/industry you plan to pursue as a career. You may need to do some research to identify these and be sure to provide citations for your sources.
- You should identify what types of data are used in management decisions in your industry or professional practice. Try to be as specific as you can about the type of data and the type of business decisions the data supports. Again, research may be helpful here.
- Finally, provide a summary and conclusory discussion that highlights the role of data analytics in your chosen industry.
Your paper should be in APA format, with supporting citations in text and references, a minimum of four pages (approximately 1,000 words) in length (not including any supporting data that should be in an appendix.
