“The ‘Banking’ Concept of Education” and “Brainology” discuss education generally, but they present to us ideas about HOW we have been educated. For this essay, I ask that you perform two primary tasks:
1. Summarize and analyze each essay and present them to an audience who is unfamiliar with the concepts presented.
2. Incorporate your analysis (I don’t care if you agree or disagree with the articles) with an analysis of the education system based on your own experience in comparison and/or contrast with the two articles.
Again, these two tasks are the general overview of the essay’s objective. You need to incorporate the other elements listed above. And, again, you can agree or disagree with the articles (or fall somewhere in between), but YOUR OPINION MATTERS and should serve as a central piece of your writing.
You must summarize and quote from the assigned essays related to your prompt thoroughly as support for your thesis. Use They Say, I Say template ideas throughout.
The essay should be two-pages minimum, three-pages maximum. Also, you are not simply responding to one of the prompts listed below. A composition course such as this is concerned with organization as well as purpose, design as well as grammar. Most important, we are not writing Five-Paragraph Essays in this class. If you write a Five-Paragraph Essay – which means you did not read these instructions, nor did you attempt to employ the strategies listed below
