Due Dates: Final Assignment
The purpose of this paper is have students select, and research a theoretical framework. Students will decide which theory they want to research and present to the classroom as they begin developing a practice framework. This paper should be 12-15 pages in length, not including the cover page, attachments, or reference pages. The papers are due on the evening of the presentation.
You should cover the following topics in your paper & presentation:
• History and development of the theory 10pts
• Major assumptions about human behavior and development 20pts
• Major theorists 10pts
• Practice applications 10pts
• Empirical support (e.g., give specific examples how the theory has been empirically validated in the literature) 10pts
• Critique (strengths as well as weaknesses) 20pts
• Conclusion (include implication for social work practice, research, and policy) 20pts
