Report Requirements
Your report must contain the following sections:
1. Title page with the names and student Ids of all team members who participated in the development of the project.
2. A table of contents
3. Body of the Report to include:
A. Provide a brief historical introduction of Kuwait including any major milestones in its general economic development
B. Summarize Kuwait‘s overall macroeconomic performance in terms of major sectors contributing to GDP, inflation rate, balance of payments deficit or surplus, and other factors impacting the economy that may be specific to UAE.
C. Estimate the level of economic concentration and economic diversification in Kuwait (using economic concentration/diversification ratios)
D. Construct a table of GDP and sector share in your selected country from 1995 to 2011 (or later if you can find it).
a. Prepare a chart showing the percentage change in the the GDP and the change in Tourism sector
E. Construct a table of GDP and sector share in the UAE
a. Prepare a chart showing the percentage change in the the GDP and the change in Tourism sector
F. Compare the results from steps D and E. Discuss the results in terms of performance, and try to determine possible reasons for it. Possible reasons could be resource-based, efficiency-based, innovation-based, knowledge or technology-based, government policy-based, or some other country specific factor. For example, if Bahrain has exceeded the UAE in real estate sector growth, why do you think so?
G. Summarize what you learned through the analysis and make recommendations as seen fit; Should the UAE be doing anything differently?
