In order to effectively plan for the future, it is often important to examine where you have already been. This assignment invites you to think about the story of your life leading up to this decision. How have family, friends, teachers, and other people influenced who you are and what you want out of life? What factors have influenced the majors or careers or academic fields you are considering? What makes a certain career desirable for you – Money? Prestige? Helping others? Autonomy?
Write 2-3 page typed double spaced paper addressing a few of the areas (7-9) that will help understand where you are currently at in your career exploration. To orient you to this assignment, consider the following questions and write your personal story up to now:
