While your text touches on the topic of teachers’ professional cycles, also review the article by Aminah Paden. As you read this article, consider the following points:
- Reflect on how you might adjust your conference after you have done an observation in a teacher’s classroom, depending on where you believe the professional life cycle of the individual teacher might fall. For example, how would your conversation be different with a novice teacher as opposed to a distinguished teacher?
- How might this information be critical as you work with your teachers?
