Online Field Trip

The best way for people to improve their education is through learning from the experience of others and reading from different perspectives. Ideally, people use online field trips to learn and interact with other people. An online field trip allows students to compare what they learn in class with materials suggested by other authors. Seeing online content is an interesting activity as the person taking the initiative gets many chances to expound their educational ideas. For this paper, the major focus is an exploration of different websites and relating them to the learning environment. Five links will be selected and reviewed to explain how they will improve my personal career in future.

The Association of Teachers of Mathematics is a home for members that have an interest in teaching mathematics. The website is suitable for kids who have a problem concerning fractions. The website provides children with the basic skills on the mathematical fractions and they can use the skills in the classroom.

The Maze Game website allows the student to practice mathematical geometrical activities. When one visits the site, he or she will learn about plotting mathematical graphs in the most effective manner.

The links directly relate to the field of mathematics, and therefore, they will be influential in my personal career. The links will enlighten me about the way students can learn different computational subjects, and how I can teach the subject in various contexts. As an education student, I will use the links in familiarizing myself with mathematics and different mathematical concepts for efficiency in the subject. Firstly, I plan to use the links to learn the best way to approach math fractions. In the link, learn with-math-game, it is listed that for one to understand  the mathematics of fractions, one needs to build a sound foundation in fractions and use them as the basis for the learning of math.

Moreover, I plan to use the links to understand the way I can support my future students’ ability to solve mathematical problems as fast as possible. The links provide information on how students can use mathematical signs to create equations, with the applications of a certain set of arrangements of digits. This suggests that one can come up with a math equation in the shortest time possible, which will be substantial for the student, and improve the speed required to learn and master mathematical concepts. It is my hope to use the links to understand other techniques that are more efficient than a calculator. I will carry out an exercise using the information in this link so that I can learn whether it is worth using other methods to solve mathematical equations and problems, other than a calculator. Although mathematics is sometimes a challenging subject, I intend to use the links to reveal whether mathematics will be a fun subject to teach in the future, and for the younger generation to learn. Here, I will use the math game link to discover if math has a relationship with other disciplines such as art, trigonometry, and motion. Finally, as there are many math games, I will use the mathematics content in the link to freely create specific outcomes, and expand my math experience through exploring the advanced mathematics concepts that the link outlines.
