I volunteered at Star of Hope. Their mission is to encourage positive life changes through programs in spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and substance abuse recovery. Each day, more than 1,000 homeless men, women & children come through their doors seeking help. They often arrive with little more than the clothes on their backs. Without the support of volunteers and community partners, they could never meet their wide variety of needs.
My task was to support the residents at Star of Hope through Notes of Encouragement. I made and sent love cards, special greeting, and positive and uplifting notes that were placed in client mailboxes or on the beds to bless, uplift, and raise the self-esteem of those who are homeless.
