As we come to the conclusion of the class, please share what sections of the course, the readings and the videos provoked the greatest learning for you? What questions were raised that you are still pondering? What issues would you like to do more research on in the future? What one issue studied in this class did you disagree with the most (assisted suicide, euthanasia, hospice, suicide, disenfranchised grief, etc.)?
Everyone did the Five Wishes assignment, and some students shared with me directly that it was challenging for them to think about their own death, funeral and burial. Please share what parts of the Five Wishes assignment were the most provocative for you (i.e. provoked the greatest thinking and reflection). Would you consider sharing that document with a close friend or loved one? If not, why not?
And finally, have any of the readings, videos, issues studied, discussions on Discussion Board changed your thinking, and potentially your behavior, regarding dying, death and bereavement? If so, which ones, and why?
Please answer each of the questions above as thoroughly as you can. Answers should be built out fully and show sincere reflection on the topics raised and questions asked. Please write in paragraph form, and watch spelling, grammar and punctuation.
