You’ve done my research paper earlier this year in April. I was given a second chance. But I was told I need a works cited page at the end.
Project Three: Research Paper
Due: Aug 5, 2018 at 11:59 PM
Please upload the final draft of your research paper, including its works cited page, along with an updated annotated bibliography and the research paper checklist/reflection, as one single Word file to include the paper/works cited page, annotated bibliography, checklist. Any paper submitted without a works cited page and in-text citations will receive an automatic zero for plagiarism.
Here is the guidelines
ENC 1101 Research Paper Guidelines
For this assignment, you are required to write a 4-6 page informative research paper; the project will also include both an annotated bibliography and a works cited page. A completed research paper checklist/reflection will also be required (see PAL for this document). The paper must follow MLA format (8th edition), which includes in-text citations that correspond to the works cited page entries. Without both in-text citations and a works cited page, the paper is considered plagiarized and will receive a zero. The topic must be a current social issue. You must use a minimum of six varied sources from the library and its databases (including at least one book/eBook and one journal article). Additional sources from outside of the library may be used in addition to the six required library sources only if the sources are credible and non-biased. You will choose your own topic, but it must be submitted for approval before you begin the assignment; ideally, it will be the one you used for your annotated bibliography so that you can use the same sources. (Note: If you don’t use one of the sources from your annotated bibliography in your research paper, you must remove it from the annotated bibliography and replace it with a new library source. The sources in the updated annotated bibliography should match the sources you use in your research paper. You will turn in the updated annotated bibliography with your research paper.) Your paper will be informative in nature, not argumentative, so you should provide current information that your readers may not know and present the latest research and information on a topic. In addition, writing with a tone of moderation will reinforce your credibility as a writer. The following steps should help guide you through this assignment:
• Decide on a topic. Make sure that it is not too broad or too narrow to analyze adequately within the length restrictions.
• Continue your research in the library. Keep copies of your research as you go along, so that you can properly incorporate each source into your paper later when you begin to write.
• Organize your research and craft a working thesis. An outline will help you as you start to develop your ideas.
• Write the first draft. Make sure that you have an engaging introduction, sufficient background information, a well-organized body that develops your main points, and a conclusion that both summarizes the paper and offers a final thought on your subject. Sources should be integrated smoothly with your own writing and cited using parenthetical documentation. Remember to include a works cited page.
• Proofread and edit your paper carefully.
• Submit your draft to the originality check dropbox to be scanned for any originality issues. Submit your draft to the free Smarthinking tutoring service in PAL for feedback from a writing tutor. See link on our course’s homepage.
• Revise your first draft, taking into consideration any suggestions for revision.
• Proofread and edit your final draft again carefully before final submission.
Please note: You will receive a zero for the assignment (and possibly for the course) if you plagiarize. There is also a ten-point penalty for not submitting an annotated bibliography and a five-point penalty for not submitting a completed checklist/reflection.
Off-limit topics: Abortion, the death penalty, euthanasia (assisted suicide), lowering the drinking age, legalizing marijuana or any other drug, steroids in sports, teen pregnancy, bullying, eating disorders, same-sex marriage/adoption, animal abuse, global warming, video games, the BP oil spill, diseases, history, biographies, texting while driving, and gun control. Try to come up with a fresh, current topic that interests you. You must submit your topic for approval before you begin the project. Keep in mind that you are writing an informative research paper based upon a current event or social issue. You may not submit a paper written for another course.
Off-limit sources: Blogs, abstracts, encyclopedias, or any other summaries, and Wikipedia. These resources may be used to discover topics but not in the actual paper as one of your required sources. As a college researcher, you should find substantial sources (not summaries or blogs) to use in your paper. Multiple articles from one book do not count as multiple sources.
Also note: To receive a “C” or higher, the paper must meet minimum requirements such as pages and sources required and correct MLA documentation (in-text citations, works cited page, and annotated bibliography).

What grade do you think you deserve for this paper? Why? Please review the grading standards in the syllabus before you respond. Remember that time spent on a project does not equal a high grade. The finished product alone will be evaluated.
