Overview
In this assignment, you will discover statistical findings for the dimensions of security culture. You will analyze the findings in a scholarly article to determine the comprehensiveness of your assigned textbook readings. You will then develop metrics for assessing an organization’s security culture based on the most common dimensions.
Instructions
- Read An Analysis on the Dimensions of Information Security Culture Concept: A Review.
- Match the dimensions in the article with the 7 dimensions of security culture described in Chapter 6 of this module’s required reading. (Use table 1 and 2).
- Compare the dimensions mentioned in the article to the 7 dimensions listed in Chapter 6 of your reading.
- Are some dimensions overlooked in the textbook?
- Consider whether the article and textbook are using different words to mean the same thing.
- Should more dimensions be added to the book that are listed in the article? Which ones?
- Should some dimensions be removed or revised in the book? Explain your position.
- Are some dimensions overlooked in the textbook?
- How could you measure the most common dimensions in order to assess the strength of your organization’s security culture?
