This assignment has 2 parts: Part 1-Post; Part 2-Response.
Post: (Submit Post two times: 1st time for grade after you review your draft with safe assign; 2nd time in Discussion forum for students review)
Part 1-Post-Purpose: To help you get into the topic by sharing your thoughts based on your readings and professional and personal experiences in response to the discussion prompt. Students are expected to correctly apply relevant course concepts, theories and materials while collaborating with fellow learners as they participate in Online Discussions around assigned topics. They are expected to contribute professional, personal and other real world experiences to the Online Discussion Post while supporting their positions with applicable knowledge. Students will participate in three (3) Online Discussions Posts (6 points each) and be responsible for submitting three (3) Responses (2 points each) to at least one (1) other student’s post. Question/s for each discussion are posted on BB. Open Syllabus & Course Documents folder, next find Assignments Instructions/Grading Rubrics folder; inside of this folder you will find document with Discussion instructions.
Assignment Instructions: The body of the post minimum (800 words). Minimum 3-4 peer-reviewed professional references are to be used. Reference in text and at the end of each post according to APA (7th ed) the resources, classroom experiences, assigned readings, surveys or consultations with other professionals that helped you to understand the topic. Participation in the posts and responses will be evaluated based on the content, individual reflection, and scholarly presentation. All sources of information should be from peer-reviewed journals such as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Please note that Wikipedia, Ask.com, and commercial websites that are not from a peer-reviewed source are not acceptable sources. It is useful to compose your posts and responses outside of Blackboard, and then paste them. Select one option and include discussion according to the direction. Identify which option you are responding to, such as: 1, 2, or 3. Your discussion post and response is due as stated in the course calendar.
Option 1: Select one model of EBP presented in chapter 12. Using your current clinical setting and a practice problem you have noticed, determine what you would do to institute EBP into your current practice to address the problem.
Option 2: Compare and contrast two EBP models from chapter 12 and discuss which would most likely work in your agency or clinical unit. Explain why one model would work better than the other with your colleagues or your organizational culture.
Option 3: Select one of the four case studies presented at the end of the chapter 14, (Learning Activities, p. 327) and present your thoughts on how to apply the theories from the chapter 14 in that situation.
Part 2-Response: Respond to one (1) selected student adding/comparing/contrasting your individual perspectives, experiences to the discussed topic. Identify 1-2 additional things you would like to know about the content of this post with respect to the discussed content. Submit a response to the post of a fellow student that has no response. If you respond to the same post that another student responded-grade 0 will be posted. Minimum 2-3 professional references are to be used and reference student that you respond to. Reference in text and at the end of each post according to APA (7th ed). The body of the response minimum (350 words).
