One of the most practical tools for understanding and quickly visualizing data is using the “Pivot Table” feature on Excel. There are many tools that can do this type of work, but Pivot Tables’ accessibility, ease of use, and flexibility are nearly unparalleled.
In this assignment, you will explore the issues with Micro Transactions Inc. and propose solutions to these issues.
Part 1: Find the Problem
In this part, you will explore the data using pivot tables and pivot charts to see where the underlying problems might be. If you need help creating these charts, see the “Practice” worksheet below, which has links to guides, as well as quick-start guides. A small practice dataset is also included.
Create a pivot table, pivot chart, or scatter plot to explore the following:
– Do country, device type, or where referred from impact the “Total Paid” Variable?
– Do country, device type, or where referred from impact the “Cost to Acquire” Variable?
Part 2: Create a Powerpoint Slide Deck with your Findings
Create a Powerpoint slide deck for the board of “Micro Transactions Inc.” This slide deck should have the following format:
– Section 1 should outline the problems facing the company.
– Section 2 should outline what you found in Part 1: Find the Problem. For this slide, include some of the pivot tables and pivot charts you created.
– Section 3 should propose a change Micro Transactions Inc. can make to their business to solve the issues they are facing.
