Descriptive Epidemiology Infographic Guidance
Purpose: Infographics can be a powerful tool for sharing important public health information and helping people understand the issues. The purpose of this assignment is to help you develop skills in quickly and simply communicating epidemiologic data in a way that your audience will understand and take away a message portrayed by the epidemiologic data.

Task: Using the same topic/research for the descriptive epidemiology paper and presentation, you will develop an original infographic that will quickly communicate one aspect about the epidemiology of the topic. This must be your own and not an image cut and pasted from another source. On the infographic you must include the source of your data. The infographic will be designed using the digital tools of your choosing. Piktochart or Canva are great for making infographics and each offer free accounts. Below you will see a list of important resources for helping you develop an infographic, including instructions for setting up a Piktochart account and a tutorials both Piktochart and Canva.
Criteria: To successfully complete this assignment, you should follow the above instructions and meet the deadlines posted on Blackboard and in the course syllabus. This assignment is worth 20 points and will be graded using the infographic assignment rubric.
